President begins tour of North, South Huvadhu atoll

President Mohamed Nasheed left Malé on a tour of North and South Huvadhu atoll on Thursday afternoon. President Nasheed’s first leg of the visit was at Thinadhoo of South Huvadhu Atoll. He was accorded a very warm welcome by the people of Thinadhoo.

The President’s tour included participating in a function to commemorate the silver jubilee anniversary of G. Dh. Atoll School, where he presented commemorative plaques to students and alumni who brought glory to the school during the past 25 years. Commemorative plaques were also presented to various individuals who had rendered valuable services to the school.
