Health Ministry revokes Chinese Medical Centre’s license

The Health Ministry has revoked the licence granted to the Chinese Medical Centre, citing several illegal activities which were observed in the Centre.

A statement issued by the Health Ministry said that they had revoked the licence for the Chinese Medical Centre, which offers traditional Chinese medical services, but would return their licence to operate once they had fixed the illegalities.

“Several small irregularities were noted in the operation of the Centre and they have been asked to fix it,” an official from the Health Ministry said. The official, however, declined to comment on what sort of irregularities had been discovered.

The Centre’s Manager said that they had closed the Centre for renovation but said that he had no idea if their license had been revoked.

“The Health Ministry has instructed us to make some repairs at the Centre and so our services have been temporarily suspended,” the Manager said. “I don’t know if they have revoked our license or not.”

He said that the Centre will be open for business within a few days.
